Christmas Minis | Cowichan Valley & Greater Victoria Area Photographer

I decided to host a very minimalist Christmas mini setup this year with a few decor pieces, mostly just letting the family love shine through for their holiday photos. Don’t get me wrong, I love a very dolled up Christmas backdrop as well especially when working with some talented decor designers, however I also enjoy a super simple backdrop (and most times… I prefer outdoors, natural settings is always my fav!). So this year’s minis were simple, yet adorable and I had 4 lovely families book with me this year - one family did have to reschedule due to the crazy illnesses going around but we lucked out with a beautiful sunny day outdoors for their Christmas photos and I brought a few props for them as well.

I did have the help of the very talented Tina of Platinum Florist (a Victoria BC florist), who put together the beautiful pampas grass wreath you see above the bed, and had the lovely Amy of Borrow Me Boutique in for some holiday dress photos - if you have yet to visit this beautiful boutique, you must book an appointment. She has such a lovely selection of formal wear for your next event, for yourself and your kids as well as items to pack on vacation like dresses and rompers! Two fabulous businesses that you for sure need to check out! Have loved getting to know them both over this past year.
