Senior Grad Photo Session | Greater Victoria & Cowichan Valley Area Photographer
My family and I moved from across the country (Ontario to BC in August 2021) with a fun family adventure road trip… our two sweet girls and two fur babies, our cat and dog. It’s been a wild journey with some bumps in the road yet exciting as well. It took me a while to settle in, get our girls settled… routine, family/work life balance, etc.. which do we ever really feel like we have that balance all figured out? Just with moving to a whole new province, I needed to take some time before I picked back up, the last 2+ years have made me shift my focus on where I wanted to take my business as well.
2022 has been pretty great so far with my calendar booking up, this was my very first outdoor session of 2022 in April… and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! We got a bit of an overcast day, but then the sun peeked through the clouds and I was just SO happy in that moment. Years of dreaming about shooting sessions by the mountains and ocean… I can’t believe those dreams finally became a reality. This session also reminded me how I first began my photography business in Ontario. One session quickly led to another and then my first wedding was booked. AND the same thing here…. I booked my very first wedding from this session. Danya showed my photos of her daughter and their family session to her friend who is getting married this July, and she fell in love with my work and hired me to capture her day! I am also shooting more photos for Reece and her friends this June for graduation. I can’t wait to capture another session for them and a wedding this July. I appreciate so much when my clients share my work with others, its one of the biggest compliments a photographer could receive and helps us grow. So thank you Danya and to all of my past and future clients, thank you as well. Starting your business over in a new place can seem very scary and overwhelming, I’ve had my moments where I felt doubtful, but these last few months have reminded me I am capable to start over again. Can’t wait to share many more blog posts over the next year… my first full year on beautiful Vancouver Island!
